American Idol Season 9 - Top 16 - Girls

Unrelatedly, Japanese speakers, can you tell me if 留守 can be used to describe the speaker? Like, say I'm on the phone with someone and they ask if I'm home (which I'm not), can I say 留守です ? Or is it an expression that's used exclusively to describe people other than the speaker?

Simon: Ellen and I are totally doing it.
Ellen: Yep.
Ryan: ...

Katie: Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson.
f: Boring. Off-pitch. At least we were spared cutesy intros.
Randy: Song's too big for you.
Ellen: Good song choice. The problem is, you have no personality.
Kara: You're totally talented.
Simon: You sucked.

Siobhan: House of the Rising Sun by The Animals.
f: She's definitely my favourite. *_*
Randy: That was hot!
Ellen: I totally know that house. Anyway, I was moved and you're spectacular.
Kara: You are so unique and different!~
Simon: I wasn't a fan. I don't like what you're wearing.

Lacey: Brandi Carlisle's The Story.
f: Snoooooooooooore. There were one or two interesting moments but zzzzzzzzzzz.
Randy: Your best performance in a long time.
Ellen: I agree with Randy.
Kara: Performances like this are why you got here.
Simon: I didn't love the song, but you sang it very well.

Katelyn: Carole King's I Feel Earth Move.
f: That was a complete mess. The outfit, the horrible trying-to-dance-and-play-keyboard-at-the-same-time thing, the singing, ew.
Randy: There was nothing special about it.
Ellen: Is that a guitar? *yawn*
Kara: I didn't feel like you were competing; you were just going through the motions.
Simon: Well, I'll say something positive. I like your hair. On the downside, it was like request night at a restaurant.

Didi: Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac.
f: I was talking KoL strategy with Becca and wasn't interested enough to look over even once.
Randy: Better than last week. But not a "wow" performance.
Ellen: Yes, ineedy, Didi. Ahahaha I slay me.
Kara: One of my favourite performances.
Simon: I agree with Kara. I thought that was head and shoulders above anything else we've heard tonight.

Paige: Michael Jackson's Smile.
f: She went off-pitch within the first twenty seconds. Then spent the rest of the song sounding equal parts nasal and inside-of-a-barrel-like. What.
Randy: So... what's for dinner?
Ellen: That song is supposed to be uplifting, and you ruined it.
Kara: It was just all wrong.
Simon: Horrible song choice, awful arrangement.

Crystal: Give Me One Reason by Tracy Chapman.
f: I love this girl. She looks great, she's confident, she sounds fantastic. But her confidence/awareness of what kind of artist she is makes her kind of a one-trick pony, and I think it's gonna hurt her -- like it did Allison and the tattoo girl from the other year. :\
Randy: That was hot.
Ellen: I need new adjectives aside from "amazing".
Kara: I think I can see the record that you're making.
Simon: You're guaranteed to be in the Top 12. You're the one to beat.

Lilly: I Fall to Pieces by Patsy Cline.
f: I felt like she was struggling to be heard over the music. Wasn't as great as I expected, but she is still one of the best.
Randy: I liked it.
Ellen: Loved it!
Kara: You made Patsy Cline feel current.
Simon: Brave, cute, quirky, but lacked the "wow" factor.

Can we just send everyone except for Lilly, Crystal, and Siobhan home? >.>

Anyway, time for Lost. :D :D :D
