Dead at Lilinette going apeshit while Ukitake just stands there with her sword. ♥_♥ LMAO OH MAN THAT'S THE SPIRIT! *wipes a tear* Oh, Ukitake, you really are secretly a sadist.
I wonder about the OM translation, though -- I was looking up another detail on the Bleach wiki, and the spoiler page for 360 claims that Ukitake is using dancing metaphors to scold Lilinette (put your hips into it, let me teach you how to tango, etc). So it's possible that this whole scene is potentially even more hilarious if you read it in Japanese. >.>
Ōmaeda continues to be hilarious; I seriously IRL loled when he was like "I'VE DISCOVERED YOUR WEAKNESS! >:D ... Aw man, I suck at kidō too >.>". But at least we saw a new Bakudō -- #21, Sekienton; Bleach Wiki says it translates to "Red Smoke Escape". So technically, it worked -- he's looking unhappy, but he is escaping! And there is some smoke where he used to be! >.> I bet it's like the old-school special effect where wizards vanish in puffs of smoke.
Ohhhhhh -- Barragan has like... a globe of invulnerability around him. And his Gran Kaida has chains in addition to the pole, huh. I seriously can't wait for them to animate this -- I bet Barragan will look really cool.
Okay, for a second there I thought Barragan had said "bankai" and I was like WHAT WHAT WHAT HOW.
AND THEN I WAS LIKE OH MY FUCKING GOD JUST LOOK AT THAT BANKAI ON SOI FON HOLY SHIT.
Ahem. Bleach Wiki says Jakuhōrai Kōben means "hornet thunder whip" and that the cloth she wrapped around the building and herself is steel (presumably to act as a conduit for the inevitable recoil when she fires her weapon).
BUT SERIOUSLY LOOK AT THAT THING IT'S LIKE A FUCKING ROCKET LAUNCHER STRAPPED TO HER ARM JESUS HOW CAN SHE BE THIS AWESOME. ;_;
And she doesn't like to use it. I love that so much. I have always loved the idea of a Shinigami not being happy with his shikai (but having little choice in the matter) a la Yumichika. But now we have a bankai user like that! I think that's awesome; it definitely reinforces that the zanpakutō has its own will, and if a Shinigami doesn't like the form her zanpakutō takes, it's tough titty for the Shinigami.
So now I really want to know if Barragan's GoI is true or not; if it is, it should have withstood even Soi Fon's bankai. Though technically, it should have broken before she attacked, because Barragan began to attack Ōmaeda. Okay, okay, I'll stop pretending Kubo plays D&D. >.>
No Halibel -- I wonder what that means. Is she dead? Is she alive? Will we see her next week or will it be Kyōraku and Stark's turn? Come on, next week!
ALSO, I MISS ICHIGO.
