I really like the chapter title. The focus is clearly on Stark, but does that mean that Barragan is truly gone? Also, is that a chain attached to Barragan's skull? I know! He's actually an ornament! *flees*
Ehehe, Soi Fon doesn't want Ōmaeda touching her. I bet it would be different if that were Yoruichi.
Ugh, I am so annoyed at Hitsugaya being repeatedly referred to as "genius". The word is prodigy! He didn't freaking invent his bankai or think bankai in general into existence; he is gifted. This is something that's consistently annoyed me -- I mean, okay, I know that most people will think "genius" when they hear "tensai" but THAT IS NOT WHAT IT MEANS HERE. 天才 can mean both genius and prodigy, and Hitsugaya is clearly a prodigy. D: He hasn't demonstrated intellectual ability beyond what's expected of any captain. If anyone's a genius, it's Urahara, ffs. Or even Mayuri.
AT ANY RATE OMFG HOW ADORABLE IS UKITAKE CATCHING KYŌRAKU'S KIMONO AHHHH THAT WAS THE CUTEST THING I HAVE SEEN ALL WEEK. *____________*
Ooooh, Stark and Lilinette are actually one Espada, not Espada+Fracción. That's really fascinating -- especially in light of what Barragan had explained about the Espada aspects. So Stark's loneliness, though originally a choice, is something he can never really be free of except in Resurreción.
Los Lobos means "wolves", doesn't it? But the raw apparently had "Los Bolos" which would mean... bowling balls, according to my quick and unverified Googling. Ehehehehe. But it's still wolves, since ロスボロス was just the furigana, and the kanji presumably were wolf-related. Oh Kubo.
I'm so curious to see what the Primera's power is, because the released form looks seriously badass. Though I admit the two guns just made me think XANXUS from Reborn. >.>
At any rate, now we know that after the time it took for Soi Fon and Ōmaeda to fight Barragan (umm... 15 minutes? Tops?), Halibel* is still encased in the snowflake bankai. Is she dead? Is Barragan? Will the Vizards have to save the day? TUNE IN NEXT WEEK. Also, Kubo is evil! News at eleven.
*Apparently the correct romaji is Harribel, but uh, that just looks super lame. Halibel is far better.
ALL OF THE ABOVE NOTWITHSTANDING: I MISS ICHIGO, DAMN IT.
